On Wednesday, another “Compelling Case for NGVs” workshop was held in Richmond, Virginia. Hosted by the Clean Vehicle Education Foundation (CVEF), the workshop was co-hosted by the Virginia Clean Cities; VA Department of Mines, Minerals, and Energy (DMME); Sustainable Transportation Initiative of Richmond (STIR); the City of Richmond Department of Public Utilities; and NAFA Fleet Management Association—Old Dominion Chapter. Interest and participation among attendees was high. The event included guest presentations, tabletop displays, and several vehicles on display outside.
There are just three more full-day “Compelling Case” workshops left in 2012.
- This Tuesday (July 31) at the Crowne Plaza Airport Hotel in Louisville, Kentucky, in conjunction with Kentucky Clean Fuels Coalition, Louisvile Metro Air Pollution Control District, Kentucky Department for Energy Development and Independence, Kentucky Department of Environment—Division for Air Quality, and the Kentucky Gas Association. This event already has more than 120 registrants and tabletop space is sold out.
- The following Wednesday (August 8 ) at the Piedmont Natural Gas corporate building in Nashville, Tennessee, in conjunction with Middle Tennessee Clean Fuels Coalition, East Tennessee Clean Fuels, Clean Fuels Coalition of West Tennessee, and Tennessee Gas Association. Registration for this event is well on track to exceed 100 by the event date. A limited number of tabletop sponsorships are still available.
- Mid-fall workshop in New York City (date and location soon to be determined in cooperation with New York Clean Cities Coalition).
In addition, about six half-day mini-“Compelling Case” presentations are scheduled between now and November at events hosted by other clean air and clean transportation oriented organizations.
