Florida Trash Company Opens CNG Fueling Station

On Wednesday, Waste Pro, a major trash hauling company, unveiled its $15 million, state-of-the-art time-fill CNG fueling station in Fort Pierce, Florida. Twenty new $300,000 CNG- powered Mack trucks are ready to make their routes in the next week or two. By the time the fleet is completed, there will be 50 to 70 trucks. Government officials from Fort Pierce, Port St. Lucie, and St. Lucie County are in talks with Waste Pro to access the facility. The company partnered with Clean Energy in the design and construction of the facility. Waste Pro, which operates in 60 of Florida’s 67 counties, will soon build its second CNG station in Palm Coast, followed by stations in Sanford, Fort Myers, Tampa Bay, and Tallahassee in the coming years.
