On Wednesday, Weber State University (WSU) in Ogden, Utah, opened the city’s third CNG station on its campus. WSU is in the process of converting its fleet to natural gas and will be the primary customer of the station. The station will also be open to the public. Questar Gas developed and financed the project with funds that matched a federal grant. The station will be open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and accepts credit cards only. Fuel sales began at $1.49 per GGE. “We applaud Weber State University and Questar for their commitment to furthering this cleaner-burning, domestic, affordable fuel,” said Robin Erickson, director of Utah Clean Cities. “Natural gas helps save motorists money and, with lower emissions, helps us all breathe easier.”
