NGVAmerica Provides Market/Technology Briefing to USPS Engineering Staff

On Thursday, NGVAmerica team members met with United States Postal Service (USPS) Engineering Systems staff in Washington DC to provide an update on the NGV market, including summaries of current and projected natural gas supply and pricing relative to petroleum and other alt fuels; station infrastructure technology and development activities and trends; and current and emerging vehicle and engine technologies. USPS requested the meeting in preparation of their report to Postmaster General Patrick Donahoe regarding opportunities to improve economic and environmental performance of the postal service fleets, both USPS- and contractor-O&O vehicles.

This meeting follows up on previous technical assistance efforts with USPS engineering and vehicle procurement staff, and it is part of NGVAmerica’s ongoing outreach and liaison initiatives with national and large regional public and private fleets.
